Legal Services of Northern California assists and/or represents low-income clients in federal housing issues, landlord-tenant disputes, and provides information on tenant rights. They offer a weekly unlawful detainer (eviction) workshop. Call for workshop times. Some self-help law packets are available. Services provided to residents of Shasta, Trinity, Siskiyou, Modoc, and Lassen Counties.

NVCSS is a non-profit, public benefit agency that was established in 1986 to provide social services to residents of Northern California. All individuals are served regardless of race, religion, creed, or national origin. Over the last ten years, NVCSS has developed and implemented clinical counseling programs in both Shasta and Butte counties; a Foster Family Agency (FFA); Independent Living Skills Programs (ILS) in Shasta and Tehama counties; Teenage Pregnancy and Parenting Programs (TAPP) in Shasta and Butte counties; a Foster Care Education Program serving Shasta, Tehama, and Trinity counties; a Community Adolescent Parenting Services Program (CAPS); HIV Care Program provides case management services to Shasta, Tehama and Trinity County residents who have HIV/AIDS and their family members.
